It’s been a couple of weeks since I last tracked the things I have done, and It’s time to make an update, I think:
I had a rope date with a friend whom I haven’t seen in like 5 years – We worked out that I was in Somerset the last time that I actually saw her. It was a lot of fun and I ended up getting an uber home at around 2:30 AM.
The next day I was dragged into a meeting at work with my line manager where we discussed the rotation request that I had put in at work several months ago – it’s finally coming into effect and at present my last day is set at the 24th. I did point out that my co-worker is on a 4 week holiday until the 28th and that I wanted to offer up to an extra 2 weeks so that there is a suitable handover period when he gets back. Apparently I am the only one involved in the whole process who had thought this through, but looks like we have settled on the 30th instead of the 24th.
The day after that, I received a letter from the CCMCC regarding judgement from the case where my previous estate agents didn’t protect my deposit – I got everything I asked for. So, in terms of court cases that have wrapped up this year, that’s 3 for 3 in my favour. I am very much looking forward to having these off my plate.
To celebrate this, I have had a little bit of a spending spree – I have purchased some new tops and leggings, I have bought myself a smart watch that I have had on my wishlist for over a year. This will 90% be used to track my new workout routines – I have started doing HIIT and yoga for the past week as well as the weights.
Oh! And I also processed my natural fibre ropes. I made up a new batch of massage/moisturiser bars with a 1:2.5 mix of bees wax and coconut oil with a dash of jojoba oil, which all works really well for the rope conditioning process as well (Though I used a different supplier for the wax than usual and am debating re-doing the *nice* ropes with pure coconut oil as it feels ever so slightly too tacky on my skin).
I have bought more makeup, and am experimenting with dual tone lips.
And with the money that I got back from the landlord, I have booked a week away in Oct to an airbnb just outside Oxford.
So, it’s been a fortnight of good things, with plans for more good things in the future, but for now, I am off to get myself a Sunday morning Pumpkin Spice Latte. 😀
PS – I have discovered that I need to learn how to embed instagram posts, but for now, just have the links. It’s a Sunday, after all.
